These Terms and Conditions are applicable to all quotations, orders and agreements achieved between the customer and Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems.
Once a customer has arranged a contract under these terms and conditions, the customer accepts the application of these conditions for further orders and agreements between the customer and Steampunk Gems.
Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems is a sole entrepreneurship and an online shop and is registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Eindhoven, The Netherlands with registration number: 70080992.

Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems is always closed on the following days/dates:
Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, King’s Day (Dutch national day of celebration, 27 April), Liberty Day (Dutch national day of WWII liberation, 5 May), Ascension Day, Pentecost Day, Whit Monday, Christmas Eve (24 December after 15:00 pm CET), Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December), 31 December (New Year’s Eve), New Year’s Day (1 January).
Other days that Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems is closed for holiday will be clearly mentioned on the website.
All products by Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems are handcrafted jewellery, often with the use of original and unique parts, which doesn’t always make it possible to order two or more identical products. In case there are several identical items, this will be mentioned with the product on the site.
A customer can always get in touch by means of an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about the products and services of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems.
The jewellery exists of vulnerable parts and should be handled gently and with care. It might occur that the jewellery discolours slightly in a reaction of the PH-value of the human skin to the materials used creating these little gems. This is different for every person and, unfortunately, Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems cannot be held responsible for this or do anything about that. If necessary, the jewellery can be rubbed clean gently with a dry, soft cloth or a special silver polishing cloth, but use of water on the jewellery is not recommended.
Because of the use of very small parts in many of the Steampunk Gems jewellery, e.g. tiny screws, cogs, gears, rhinestones and Swarovski crystals, the products of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems are not suitable for young children, with danger of suffocating on small parts.
We have tried to show the colours of the jewellery on the images on the website as truthful as possible, but the customer needs to be aware that the colours of the products may be slightly divergent to the reality.
The prices on the website of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems are in Euros and are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of postal charges.
Special offers are clearly indicated on the site and are of a temporary nature.
The customer can make an online order at Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems. After an order has been made a confirmation email will be sent to the customer.
The customer can use the payments methods offered by Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems on the website through plug-in of PayPro (Ideal, PayPal, Bancontact and VISA) or by bank transfer. The payment methods will most likely be extended in the near future.
After payments have been received by Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems, the ordered products will be sent to the customer. In case the amount due has not been received within five working days, Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems will get in contact with the customer. If the customer does not react, the order will be cancelled.
Invoices and payment reminders will only be offered electronically by Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems.

Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems delivers products to several countries in Europe (The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ireland and Great Britain (excluding the Channel Islands and Gibraltar) at this moment. The products will be sent to the address provided by the customer. Products of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems will mostly be sent in small, well wrapped parcels that fit through the letter box.
Within The Netherlands Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems makes use of the postal services of PostNL. For orders that fit through the letter box (the most common way of shipping, so-called “brievenbuspost”), delivery charges are €3,95 within The Netherlands. This is for packages up to 2 kg. Should a package be over 2 kg, a most rare occasion, then delivery costs are €6,95 within The Netherlands. All deliveries of small letter box parcels have Track&Trace, provided by PostNL.
The delivery and shipment costs for countries outside of The Netherlands (but within Europe) are €11,95 for packages up to 2 kg. All these deliveries are registered shipments.
Ordered products will be dispatched withing 2 to 5 working days after payment has been received. The only exception to this occurs during holiday closure of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems. In those incidents ordered and payed for products will be send as soon as possible after work has started after the holiday. Holiday closures will always clearly be mentioned on the website.
Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems cannot be held responsible for damaging or missing of packages during shipment.
When a customer has made an order, she or he has the possibility to cancel this order, without giving reasons, within 14 days after the sale has been made. This period starts the following day after the order has been made.
During the reflection time the customer will be carefully handling both the product and the packaging material. The customer will only unwrap the products as much as needed to judge whether the customer is willing to keep the ordered product(s). Returns have to been agreed in accordance with Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems. In case the customer wants to make use of the right of withdrawal, she or he will send the product and all supplied accessories in the original and proper packaging back to Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems, according to the agreements made and within 14 days after the returning agreement.
Costs for products returned are entirely on behalf of the customer.

After a confirmation has been sent with regards to receiving of the returned products, Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems will refund the purchase amount of these items to the customer within 14 days.
Orders that have been especially requested and designed for by the customer (on-demand orders) and products on sale are excluded from the possibility to be returned.
We would like to emphasize that Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems is an online shop and that there is no physical shop for customers to visit. We kindly refer you to the possibilities of contacting us by phone, email or the GSG accounts on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter when you have any questions or remarks.
In the future you might see Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems occasionally on specific Steampunk and/or Fantasy events, which will then be notified on the website.
Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time. It is therefore advisable to consult these terms and conditions regularly.
Mistakes made in images or offers on the website do not bind Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems to anything.
In case the customer fails to comply with the obligations to the agreement Steampunk Gems has the choice to either give the customer the opportunity to still meet the obligations within a prescribed period indicated by Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems or to partly or completely dissolve the agreement without prior warning. Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems reserves the right, in addition to dissolution of the agreement, to relate the full compensation of all damages and costs to the customer.
All commitments between Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems and the customer are governed by Dutch law.
Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems respects the privacy of all users of the website and we consider it our responsibility to protect your privacy. Your data will therefore be treated with the utmost care and confidentiality. We only process data, which is necessary for (the improvement of) our services and we will handle all data that we have gathered about your use of our services and yourself with greatest care. Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems will never hand out any personal data of customers or visitors of the site for commercial purposes to other parties.
Once a customer registers with Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems, she or he is being asked to provide personal data that is necessary for the ordering process. The personal data will only be used within the framework of the Data Protection Law and according to the GDPR that is put into place on 25 May 2018. During a visit to the website of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems in principle a user will initially be anonymous. When a customer places an order for the first time or makes use of functions for which registration is necessary, the data will be stored to make an order account. It is easier and quicker for the customer to place a future order with an order account. In case the customer does not want to create an account, then the customer can choose to make an order as a guest.
When a customer sends an email or other messages to Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems it is possible that these messages will be saved. Sometimes personal data are requested which are relevant for the specific situation, to make it possible to process and answer questions and/or requests from the customer. These data will not be combined with other personal data that our company has access to.
Our company does not use your data for (targeted) marketing. Also we have made a conscious choice to not send out newsletters to our customers. The website of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems is developed with help of software by WooCommerce and WordPress. Personal data that a customer provides to us for the benefit of our services are being shared with these parties. WooCommerce has access to your data to be able to give us (technical) support, but they will never use your data for any other purpose and no personal data will be collected or stored. This third party can, however, collect metadata on the use of services. These are not personal data. Both organisations have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of both your data as well as that of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems. Our company makes use of the platform of PayPro for handling (part of) the payments in the online store. PayPro will process you name, address, and payment details, like your bank account number or credit card number. PayPro has taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All the mentioned safety guarantees with regards to the protection of your personal data are also applicable to all parts of PayPro’s services for which they enable third parties (e.g. VISA, PayPal or Bancontact). PayPro will not save your data any longer than is legally allowed.
Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems makes use of the services of PostNL for shipping and delivery of packages. Thus it is necessary that we share your name and address details with PostNL. PostNL will only use these data for implementation of the agreements. In case PostNL enables subcontractors to take over part of their services, for instance for shipping abroad, PostNL will also provide these parties with you name and address details for shipping purposes only.
With reference to the Dutch and European laws the person concerned has certain rights regarding the processing of personal data by or on behalf of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems. Here we will explain to you what these rights are and how you can rely on these rights. In principle we only send copies of your details (e.g. invoices) to the email address known to us. In case you would like to receive your data on another email address or for instance by post, we will ask you legitimise yourself. We will keep administration of completed requests on these issues. In case of a “forget request” we will administer anonymised data. All copies of personal data you will receive in machine readable data formats as used within our systems. Address and invoice data have to be saved for tax purposes for a period of at least 7 years.
We will keep your data as long as you are a customer of us. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you let us know, that you do not want to make use of Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems’ services any longer. If you do so, we will automatically mark this as a “forget request” and delete your account details. With regards to the legal obligations on administration and tax regulations Gwendolyne’s Steampunk Gems needs to keep invoices with your (personal) data for a certain period (7 years). However, after a forget request company employees (in the possible future) will no longer have access to your customer profile and documents that we have processed concerning your past orders. If you suspect any violation on how we use your personal data, you can always file a complaint at the authority on personal data.
